KEMBROIDERY

Hi I am Kay your shop host and owner of Kembroidery.

Kembroidery is a home based business run solely by myself, I am small enough to care and big enough to cope.

Too many moons ago to remember, I used to sew on an old  hand singer sewing machine, I then started to Knit Jumpers on a knitting machine, born out of the need to clothe my three children. Whilst mainly a hobby I did have some commercial success doing items for family and friends which kept me busy.  I eventually started to make things like peg bags, pyjama cases, dolls, and also entered the world of quilting. Items I made were mainly for friends and family untill 2002 when I started to sell some of my items around christmas time on ebay, mainly to pay for the growing cost of my hobby and the items I made.. About a year previously I had bought my first embroidery machine. I was one of the first on Ebay to make bespoke embroidered comfort cushions, which I sold with the many quilts of various designs , bespoke dolls , baby items and pet items, I had made.  Untill 2008 although my hobby and passion was ever growing, I had not taken it any further.

In 2008 Kembroidery was therefore born out of the demand for my bespoke made items, and it was helpful to put something back into the pot, as I had spent many thousands of pounds on Industrial sewing machines and materials ect. My collection included an array of machines inclusive of a Juki straight stitch machine, blind hemmer, overlocker, coverstitch, and two small embroidery machines as well as 4 domestic sewing machines.

So after reasonable success over the last few years, I decided to turn my passion into a business in Aug 2008. This has enabled me to cover a far larger range of products and with the introduction of new machinery, has allowed me to increase production and lower production times. I still make many of the bespoke items myself, such as my dog coats, cushions, knitting bags and blankets. Since starting the business I have continued to grow and have replaced the two semi industrial embroidery machines I had, for two proffesional tajima industrial machines.

I am now able to offer a proffesional personalised machine embroidery service to individuals, groups, and businesses alike, From workwear, leisure wear, textiles and gifts, I have a large network of suppliers behind me, enabling me to source and produce most items and garments quickly and at very competetive prices.I only use named garments from several manufacturers such as Gildan, Jerzees, Dickies, Unek, Steadman, FOTL and many more.

I have the ability to create and embroider designs from your own drawings and images by digitising them into embroidery motifs. From single design and item orders to larger company demands, you will receive a one to one personal service from me.
